WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY
At Gilbert Labour Solutions, we prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our employees above all else. As an employer, it is our responsibility to ensure that we are fully compliant with the Work Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines and regulations. As the sites we send our employees out to can be high risk areas of work, we make it our priority to ensure that all employees are aware of their obligations for WHS in areas they work in.
We believe that most injuries and incidents are preventable, and we work diligently to ensure that our staff are trained and equipped to work safely. We carry out regular on-site audits of our staff to ensure that our high safety standards are being met.

Site Inspections – We conduct site inspections on sites that our staff are working on. This helps us to ensure that the site is being compliant with WHS and that our staff are working safely in a safe environment.

Site Specific Induction - Before any staff are placed on the work site and area, they undergo a site specific induction to ensure they are familiar with the area, the expectations, and safety requirements.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – During the registration process we issue our staff with high vis protective clothing and any other PPE they require. This helps ensure that all our staff comply with the sites requirements.

Hazard Reporting – Both office and site based staff are trained in the process for reporting hazards. All hazards are logged and control measures to prevent them from becoming an incident are put in place immediately.

Incident Reporting – Both office and site based staff are trained in the process for incident reporting. GLS maintains an incident register which is used to facilitate measures to record, minimise, and prevent future incidents.

Toolbox Talks – We conduct regular toolbox talks with all staff. Site based staff are also advised that they are required to take part in on-site tool box talks with clients as well.
